Xiaomi Mi9 is the first device, who got an Android Q update but, still based on MIUI10. As for now, this is available for only China users. You will not get pre installed Google apps. However, a Google Play Services is actually pre-installed, making it easy to get regular Google apps if you want. You get a lots of Xiaomi pre-installed and most of them for a China users like Mi Ai App which is an Xiaomi's Assistant app (Like Google assistant) and available in China roms only. There is a Mi store available for purchasing Xiaomi's Product, alongside an App Store filled with the Chinese versions of popular applications.

New features
MIUI is a customised ROM, we checked for 3D air gestures, MIUI Notes App and app drawer in the launcher, but sadly not present in this update. Xiaomi confirmed in January , that they are working on MIUI 11. So as for now, we can expect this all features like 3D air getures, app drawer ,New icons, power saving mode in MIUI 11.  But, There are two features available like system-wide-dark  theme mode and Screen time feature which was like a Google’s Digital Wellbeing.

New launcher
I noticed when I booted up the phone and went to my home screen. I was surprised by — what looks to be — a new launcher. There’s a menu to the left when you swipe, along with another when you swipe up. The search bar has also been relegated to the bottom, and the icons have been somewhat re-arranged. The widgets at the top also have a slightly different font than before.

Android Q features
There are new theming options accessible in the developer options complete with accent colors. You can set a custom icon shape, accent colors, and even a font. Sadly, none of these options work yet, even after a reboot.



Finally ,now you can grouping your notifications.
I just marked my notifications and moved it to unimportant notifications and it works. When i clicked on unimportant notifications, i saw that notifications and other more notifications. You can marked your notifications as a important aur unimportant and it will moved to that folder which you have selected as per your selection.




Android Q bugs
Sadly there are bugs in this update and quite lots of for now. Sometimes camera crashes, audio couldn't play properly even after some reboots. As of now we can say, there are lots of bugs are present and the Google services also annoying if you're a western users,there’s a lot of Chinese text still left through the system. Some features that should be there are also absent, like the aforementioned theme options.
We preferred you not to taste this version, wait for stable version and taste once it get less buggy.
